JoeC3109 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Hey everyone, I've been using the dolphinbar for over a year now, and it's been pretty reliable for me. However, when I upgraded my TV from a 32" 1080p to a 55" 4K, I've started having some trouble. The bar still works in itself; however, it only seems to pick up the IR signal when I hold the remotes to the far left or far right, never when I'm straight in front of the sensor. I am around 8 feet away from the sensor/TV. Could this possibly have to do with the TV resolution? Or maybe I should try putting it above the TV instead of below? Checking to see if anyone has had similar problems. I find the problem I'm having is also consistent among games, it's not just a particular title. Thanks in advance
gigapig Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Pretty sure mine had done the same but I've not used it in a while and it was used with my projector. Does the remote pick up fine with a candle? Those infra-red led's get very hot and may have burnt out.
wesfranks Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Some game systems lock the cursor to the outside edges of the screen unless in "full screen windowed" mode in RocketLauncher. ALG was like that for me. Might be that depending on which system you are setting up. The system module notes may specify if this will help. Also, you can see if the ir bulbs are working if you view them through a camera screen (even though infrared is not visible to the naked eye). Cell phone should work. 4k res could be an issue. I have a different lightbar, but in the emulator it matches the target area, cursor position to (X,Y) coordinates based on pixel resolution.
JoeC3109 Posted December 19, 2016 Author Posted December 19, 2016 Very interesting, will do some investigating. Thanks to you both!
