MAME Games appear more Pixelated thanoriginal

Ive noticed on a few games on Mame that some games appear a lot more pixelated than the original games, is this something to do with my settings or is it just the way it is.

Out run being one, my pic below is a lot more pixelated than the arcade version itself.

Are you comparing it against the original arcade machine? If you are then the original arcade machine had a crt monitor and ran at a lot lower resolution than your pc monitor unless you have a crt.

You can set to "true" bi-linear filtering in RLUI under edit global module Settings. Or try using some shaders. You can find a glsl & hlsl video if you click my signature.
