Cant ESC Hyperspin?

I cant believe Im even writing this as I know its something so simple??

I have been trying to setup my XBOX360 Controller to control hyperspin. I was wanting it to start with Hyperspin and then close with Hyperspin as I keep forgetting about it till Im in games out of it and its driving me crazy. Well thats a dif topic....

I thought there was a handy prog in HyperHQ with the programs on startup and exit. Myfault for not reading it better but in defense its 2am here. I have now reset all my settings in this section back to normal. I did play with some others but they are all controller related. Problem now is that Hyperspin will not quit unless I task manager its ass???

I know the ESC button is working as it works on the wheels but it doesnt work when I try to exit the system???

Again, sorry for such a bone question but my head is fried with configs right now. Many thanks guys!!

So are you working with a fresh install as outlined in my how to install hyperspin guide? (link to guide in my signature)

Ignore the 360 controller for a moment and make sure you can get it working with the keyboard first.

So does Esc exit the game when playing?

Does Esc work in Hyperspin when entering a system wheel and then using it to exit?

Is the esc key only not working when you try to exit the hyperspin frontend?

Do you have the latest git version of RocketLauncher?

What is your exit key according to the HyperHQ keyboard navigation?

What is your exit emulator key according to HyperLaunchHQ?

simple?? It takes more than 20 basic steps so no not simple.

Thanks for the reply! Heres the info....

-It is not a fresh install I have had HS for some time. I was running the previous version but updated all my files some months back to bring it to the new version of Hyperlaunch it has been running flawlessly since.

-Yes Esc exits the game.

-Yes navigation through the wheels with the Esc key works fine.

-Yes the only time the Esc key does not seem to work is when I want to exit hyperspin. Example pressing Esc when in the root wheel.

-Yes I have the latest Git version installed. I ran a update on the files, modules etc a couple of weeks back.

-Hyper HQ exit key is Esc

-Hyperlaunch exit emulator key is defined as Esc too.

This is what I mean, it works fine, no problems with the key or anything when doing anything else apart from exit Hyperspin. I thought I may have ticked a box somehere that stopped me exiting hyperspin. For example if you had a Cab, it wouldnt be good if people lost the front end just with navigation? Is there a box I should check for this?

Redownload HyperSpin. I had this issue when I was missing some files in HyperSpin's media folder.

Sorry to be such a noob, just dont want to mess up here. So I just download it and over write the files? Will that not mess up my configurations etc?

Well I re downloaded all the exe files from the site. Hyper HQ and Hyperspin but still have the same problem.

Just so I can check..... can somone please tell me thir setting on the Ext Hyperspin tab on HyperHQ so I can telly them up with mine? Its getting silly now pressing Alt-F4 to quit hyperspin hehehe

OMG!!! Still nothing!!!

Thanks though Ron, thats exactly the thing I was looking for to rule that out. Now Im stumped though, not sure what else to try?
