Weird retroarch issue?-Solved

Hey,

i thought I should post this weird issue that I can not seem to fix. Installe newest stable retroarch loads games fine, however when I hit the home button on my xbox 360 pc gsme pad I get to retroarch menu as normal. When I hit it again I exit it goes back to game and shows paused in the bottom left corner?  It's very weird almost like the home key on the pad is set for menu and pause at the same time? I believe I have checked all key sets and there is no doubles? What could I be missing?

I think I figured out the issue, just no idea how to fix it. Seems the home is acting as a button to access the top menus when in window mode?? weird.. cant change it anywhere

It shouldn't happen, what gamepad you're using?

xbox 360 wireless PC game pad.

I tried my older versions and it works with out the issue.  I googled it and read that they changed the coding of the menu/full screen options and there is issues sometimes.

I don't know man, I just updated to 1.4.1 and it's perfect.

One thing you may try is checking if for some reason the xboxstat process is somehow pausing retroarch, try forcing close this process and then see it it still pauses RA.

Hey,

So I ran retroarch 1.4.1, and it did the annoying pausing thing.  I hit CTRL+ALT+Delete and saw xboxstat running so I closed it. Boom fixed the issue.  Now I do not know what xboxstat is, and I do not know how to stop it from causing the issue.. any ideas?  I still  find it weird how it does not do it with my older 1.3 version

Xboxstat is the gadget that appears when you hit the home button, for me it dos not have any use so I just deleted the xboxstat.exe and it won't ever start.

If you want to delete it, close this process than go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories;

Delete the file.

Wow that should work! Cool, Now my big question is,,, is it necessary to even upgrade mine?

If everything is working the way you want, why bother updating it?

Stable 1.4.1 seems to have lots of improvements over the last builds, there are a lot of enhancements and you can read it there in Libretro website, the net play in Retroarch is coming along really nicely, with a few clicks you're online, I haven't tested that yet, but if they say it, I believe it.
