The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

LaserDisc (Daphne) Video Snaps Not Loading

I have had no problem with all of my themes up to this point. Despite my best efforts, I cannot get the video snaps to load in my LaserDisc (Daphne) on the first go around (the background loads, put the video, video bezel, anything video related refuses to show on the screen). As a workaround, I made a dummy theme (sub-wheel), and if I let that theme load first (with the No Video, find videos at ********* !), all of the other themes with videos load just fine. I can't understand why this could be. I structured these themes to be independent unlike SNES or NES or even Mame, any help on what I am missing would be much appreciated. :goodnight:

John,

Hello and welcome to the Forums!

As will roms, wheel art, game themes, etc... Make sure the names all match what is in your database. Also, check in HyperHQ (Not HyperLaunchHQ) that your video path is set. Make sure the videos are either .mp4 or .flv files. If this still doesn't work, please post a screen shot of your directory structure where your videos are. And one showing the HyperHQ path to those videos.

Make sure all the names match up.

Thanks,

Ron

I have looked into your suggestions, and unless I am missing something, I think all file names, folder locations and extensions are good to go. I have attached the screenshots you suggested. Also, please follow the YouTube link I made showing the bizarre error (at least to me) in action. The "Any Game" in the clip is a total placeholder theme, and as you see (in speedup, sorry my capture software is not that great) all theme videos don't respond on initial loading of the sub theme. But, once the dummy theme with no video is shown, all of the videos show just fine. Again, any help from this great Hyperspin community would be much appreciated.

I remember having a similar issue after messing with the "optimizer" settings in hyperHQ. Could someone post a Picture of those default settings? I'm not sure I got Everything back to normal after messing with it.
