sork01 Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Whenever I press the button and the "Browse for folder" dialogues hows up, hyperhq crashes. How am I supposed to chose the correct folder?
BATTLEDONKEY Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 It's a known bug with Windows 10. You can get around it by going into the settings folder, find the "whatever system you are trying to set".ini file (ex Nintendo Entertainment System.ini), and open it with notepad and fill in the paths manually
sork01 Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 Well it isn't a system i'm trying to set up. I'm trying to chose the folder for ledblinky. Where is the ini for that?
justn Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Had this issue with any path I would try to enter (roms/video/ledblinky). BATTLEDONKEY has the correct answer. You should see a main ini file that will have "LEDBlinkyPath=" something like that. Sorry Im not at home to check the correct file name but it is done the same way as video and rom paths. If you still cant find it I will look it up when I get home.
patto Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I had this issues as well mate but I just right click and select properties on Hyper hq.exe and run as windows 8 or 7 and click also run as admin.. this helps it 90 percent of times but if ya changing a heap of folders it will crash 1 time.. and then you start again.. Hope they fix it for win 10
sork01 Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 I tried all the different comparability modes both with and without admin. Nothing changed, it still crashes. Found the setting I was after in settings/settings.ini
patto Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Can you copy the bit you changed in that .INI file please
