Classics Wheels Pack- Modern Style

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I have been digging around the forums and found the awesome "classic packs" with themes and wheels. I would love to add these to my cabinet, but I don't use the KoolJeep(?) style wheel art.

Does anyone out there have these in the current "default" no border edition. I'm sure other hyperspinners would love to see this as well.

Wheels that are needed:

Capcom, Data East, Irem, Konami, Atari, Midway, Namco, Nintendo, Sega, SNK, Taito.

Thanks!

I looked long and hard for them but I don't think they exist. I even tried to make a few but I wound up with 5 downloaded programs promising a lot, and nothing to show, haha. I'm terrible. I actually switched all the wheels to the bordered kind as a result and found it looks really good.

I think I have a bunch of these except mine are in widescreen format so they'll look squished on a 4:3 monitor. They also have a custom border. So if you like, just use all my main menu wheels and then they'll match :P

You can also check out Crylen's wheels which do come in 4:3, but they also have a border. He probably has more than I do since he created the wheels and I just did some border work and made mine widescreen compatible:

That's exactly what I did, and they are awesome. Thanks man! Aesthetic opinion only but I like the way you did the borders. I think OP has my initial reaction though which was coming from a hesitance to use any borders at all, having gotten used to what it looks like without them.

For me at least, using bordered wheels pretty much forces me to not use "wheel" but "vertical" though. That might just be me.

Yeah, I think I stopped midway through recreating all the 'classics' wheels due to a new job. To be fair they looked kinda bad. I could never find a HQ transparent source artwork so I tried recreating them with mixed results. I think some of the completed versions are still available in the PSD on the FTP, unless they've been deleted?
