THRobinson Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Hello from the middle of nowhere Ontario, Canada. Had a RaspPi3 running RetroPie for the past half a year, and just not happy with sitting at the TV to play arcade games, so, decided to build a cabinet, then somewhere along the line, decided to go PC based instead. Designing the cabinet myself. Full size but trimmed off some of the bulk to make it shallower, and a bit narrower to save space. PC will be a mix-match of new/old parts. Bought a new mATX board with an i3-7100 3.8Ghz and 2x8GB ram. Using my old 550w PSU, 1TB HDD and GTX650Ti-2GB GPU. Plus a 20" 4:3 monitor. Been testing with LaunchBox on my PC (not the arcade hardware yet, that just came this week) but see so much about Hyperspin and liked how it looked so I wanted to give it a try as well. Joined the site because I'm a total noob for this stuff and have a few questions. THRobinson Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 You must be in BC now then... seems everyone that is originally from ON, moves to BC. Don't blame them though, way less snow. Avar Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Winnipeg actually. I was in Yellowknife for several years also.
THRobinson Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 Nice... been there but never lived there. I've been to every province so far, except the maritime provinces. That's next on my list, if I ever take vacations... and I stop spending my extra money on stuff like arcade cabinet builds.
