BlueGoblin Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 I've been updating my video preview files for all pinball games each time i'm in Future Pinball. Some of the frames for each game that show preview videos are horizontal when they should be vertical. How do I change the frame so that each time a preview plays, its correct and not turned to a clockwise position? Please see attached image.
32assassin Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 you are downloading videos for pinball cabinets aka videos in Full Screen (FS) the screen shot for the video you posted would match the monitor orientation of this cabinet you need to download videos that are in Desktop Mode (DT) or you can take the FS video and rotate them 90 CCW in a video editing program.
Bungles Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 I had the same issues, where the theme has the video rotated to 90 degrees. <Theme> <video w="480" h="340" x="240" y="485" r="90" rx="0" ry="0" below="false" overlaybelow="false" overlayoffsetx="0" overlayoffsety="0" forceaspect="both" Need to change that guy back to 0 for all the themes.. BlueGoblin Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 if I rotate the videos using Final Cut Pro, the video will be in the correct position but top and bottom will be cropped and won't look right. Where do I go to change this? <Theme> <video w="480" h="340" x="240" y="485" r="90" rx="0" ry="0" below="false" overlaybelow="false" overlayoffsetx="0" overlayoffsety="0" forceaspect="both"
32assassin Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 when you rotate your video , you should also swap the height and width dimensions. if you rotate the video on a 4X3 template, then Yes your video will be cropped I"m sure you have noticed that, MAME has horizontal and Vertical videos, and neither videos are cropped. you can rotate the video in the theme as Bungles suggested. But you said that Quote Some of the frames for each game that show preview videos are horizontal all your horizontal videos will be fixed but All your working videos will be rotated by the theme You can rotate the video in the theme and then make a Game specific theme for each Horizontal video. as I stated the easy fix is to properly rotate the video with a video editor.
