thenoob Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 Hey everyone followed giga’s guide online but when I try to launch my only Pc game (duke Nukem) I get this weird prompt about a j:drive rom directory. i don’t have a j drive and I cannot see anywhere that there’s anything pointing at any rom directory. I have virtual emulator selected and I’ve got my single rompath pointed to the duke nukem steam application under pclauncher global module settings as shown. anybody help?
thenoob Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 It’s saying cannot find “duke nukem” in any rom paths provided. J:/rooms and emulators/Roms/pcgames/ with any provided rom extension “zip|rar” etc i really have never had any j drive and I’ve never set a rom path for pc games as you don’t need to, plus I’ve never had that rom directory

thenoob Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Possibly the PClauncher Ini is wrong? Looks wrong to me, I haven’t changed anything inside it
Bungles Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 Usually need need either the Path to the program or the steam ID. Also not sue if you need it 3 times under different names.. I would also check your Rocketlauncher settings for PC Games and in Emulators.ini be sure there is no Rom_path= set. Also in your Rocketlaucher settings maybe change the skip checks to Rom & Emu or try other combinations. thenoob Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Where is the emulators.ini located in RL
thenoob Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Never mind found it, no rom path set I’ll try the other idea
thenoob Posted January 4, 2018 Author Posted January 4, 2018 Well I’ve been able to make it past that but met with a new pop up, I didn’t think steam was this difficult https://i.imgur.com/GqIYBs7.jpg frustrating to say the least I appreciate all input
Bungles Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I would bypass using steam for now and just set the exe location. Also make sure the name in the [] in PClaunhcer.ini matches your item name in the database. All you should need then in PCLauncher.ini is the following line. [Duke3D] Application=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Duke 3D Twentieth Anniversary World Tour\duke3d.exe For now turn fade off in Rocketlauncher also appwait to disabled, once its working you can try and set them back up to enabled.
