000 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 Hello all! I've got an issue with hyperspin not listing all the games that I have setup. I have 700 or so NES roms in the proper folder and named correctly. However when I run hyperspin I only see from the games 10 yard fight until chip and Dale rescue rangers 2 in the wheel. I checked my nes database xml and it has all the games listed. Any ideas as to what could be preventing all the other games to be listed? I did add in another game that wasn't listed (holy diver (J)) but I added it into the database xml.
Guest hellsing001 Posted January 12, 2018 Posted January 12, 2018 In hyperhq make sure select the NES wheel then go to Navigation /Themes and tick the roms only box + return to last game. hellsing
000 Posted January 12, 2018 Author Posted January 12, 2018 Thanks for the tip! I'll try it later when I get home and report back
000 Posted January 13, 2018 Author Posted January 13, 2018 That didn't seem to work. Any other ideas that I can try?
Bungles Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Are there any other filters enabled in HyperHQ for that Wheel? Wheels Art/Videos only etc? Does it go back to 10 yards after chip and dale? 000 Posted January 13, 2018 Author Posted January 13, 2018 No, no other filters that I'm aware of. Yeah it goes back to 10 yard after chip and dale
Bungles Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 Sounds like an issue perhaps with the database perhaps, Have you tried backing up your current one and downloading a fresh Database? 000 Posted January 13, 2018 Author Posted January 13, 2018 That seemed to do the trick, thanks! the only thing different was I added in a famicom game into the database. I just took the info from the famicom database and pasted it into the NES database just so it would be recognized. Are you not able to do that or does it get messed up?
Bungles Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 You should be able to, but you may have missed a vital <tag> that then broke the rest of the database. At least now you know what the issue is, so you can try adding it back in and make sure the formatting for the entire <game> </game> is ok. Worst case just restore to your new version you have downloaded. thatman84 Posted January 13, 2018 Posted January 13, 2018 You can use Don's Tools rom renamer to find simple database errors. Point it to an emptt folder. It will throw errors and tell you what line they are on. Very handy Official Hyperspin Tutorials Playlist HS Android Overview & Install HS Android Base Pack Download My Tutorials
