I am new to hyperspin/rocketlauncher.  i began to set up my system by following all the official hyperspin tutorials.  everything was going good and seemed to be working well.  then today i launched hyperspin, select nintendo, and select 1942. Absolutely nothing happened.  this told me the likely problem was Hyperspin not comunicating with Rocketlauncer (or that is my guess).  So i exhausted my self searching the forums and although i found lots nothing seemed to work and everyone elses problem was slightly different.  I have Rocketlauncer and hypersin 1.4 .  Attached is the hyperspin log.

Do the games work if you load them from within RocketlauncherUI?

Do do this you select your Nintendo Entertainment System from the left menu in RocketlauncherUI.

Then press the Games Button up the top in the menu.

Then list the games either by pressing the Audit Button or the List Games button. (Audit Games will check/verify that the games are found and will highlight green, so recommend using that one.)

Then press the little rocket-ship to load your game.

no they did not.  I did some digging within my system and found out RocketLauncher was running in the hidden icon menu which was the first time i have ever noticed it.   I right clicked on it and select exit.  i then restarted my computer and everything in NES SNES (all console) systems are working perfectly.  i found that strange.  However, the exact same problem is still occuring when i try to launch a MAME game.

Just need to check your preferred mame is setup correctly. See which one you have chosen by selecting Mame and then the emulators tab.

Then if you choose Global on the left and the the Emulators button, scroll down your list and check the path to the exe is set correctly.

Also be sure you can launch the emulator directly and also perhaps check for compression options if your roms are ziped etc.

Sometimes you may have to check your skip checks settings.

Within Rocketlauncher:

Default Emulator:  MAME (Global)

Went to Global Tab and emulators and double clicked on Mame and the path and everything was correct. Still on the global tab and emulator tab i launched Mame.   This is where it gets weird.  First off a WINDOWS popup shows up and says "Search for app in Store? You need to install app for this task"  so i click yes.  It doesnt look for an app or anything but Mame opens.  So i close mame and relaunch it again.  and the exact same WINDOWS message pops up.  this time i select NO and it still opens mame.  not sure what is going on there but i would love to stop that window from popping up.

Now if i Click on MAME on the left hand side.  then i click on Games tab on the top.  I then click on "Audit all games for this system"  My games show correctly.  so i select a game and click on the rocket to launch game and nothing happens.  So i am thinking that something is wrong with my roms settings or something.  The rom set is in rom folder and are all in Winrar zip files.

Could you explain what you stated here more in depth

"Also be sure you can launch the emulator directly and also perhaps check for compression options if your roms are ziped etc.

EDIT:  I went through rocket launcher log file and noticed it said mame was already running error.  so I hit CONTROL+ALT+DELETE to open taskmanager after closing everything that was open.  task manager showed nothing operating however i found in the background proccesses that "Mame64" was running so i closed it.  I then opened rocket launcher and tried launching a game and the stupid "search for App" window poped up again and i hit yes and it opened the game.  I then exited the game and tried launching another game and it worked.  so i am guessing mame exe just never exited properly one time and it was giving me problems.  so now my only issue is that stupid "Search for App in Store" window  Any thoughts?

thanks
