chicagojay Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Hello everyone, I know its been a very long time that I made a post. I kind of disappeared for a while. I run my own business, so for a while I was very, very busy and had no free time. Now, I do have some free time and want to get back into creating my own Hyperspin.... I do have some questions to ask if someone can help me out. The tutorials by Avar have been quite helpful. However, in the main menu that I want.... I want basically two tabs at the very beginning of the main menu. The one tab will be for Settings... This will be for Button Settings for controllers and the gun controllers. The other tab will be for the emulators.... Arcade, Consoles, Pinball, ect. But what I want to do is have the Chrome border, act like a pointer for where you want to go. Please look at the pictures below to get an idea I what I am talking about: The Batman one has the Chrome border around the MAME for the emulators. The Darth Raven one has the Chrome border around the Settings. Animation will be going on in this part of the main menu. With the switching of characters, music playing, and the spot lights moving around. I know this a lot to do and this project has been really fun to, but I need some help with the mechanics of this. Since it is only two tabs in the front, I assume this is not the wheel tab part of the mechanics. So how do I set this up to make this work? Like I said.... I want the music in the background, the animation of the spot lights moving and characters morphing into different characters, and Chrome Border choosing which tab to go to. Can all of be done? Is this possible? I need some help if any can help me. If you like what I got so far.... I am willing to upload this main menu animation, when finished if anyone is interested. Thank you for anyone will to help me. Chicago Jay
Bungles Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Hmm its sort of possible. The selection of the items/chrome overlays would need to just be a horizontal wheel. Not sure if you can get the desired effect however. Animations are fine, but they would need to either be in swf or convert the entire thing to a video theme. If you have a trackball you could use Rainmeter like in my Retro Cafe Build to access menu item overlays with a mouse etc. Retro Cafe - Universal ThemeHyperControl - Main Menu Config and Apps WheelAudiocade - Main Menu Music PlayerTelltale Games WheelPCGamers Top 100 PC Games 2014 WheelMGS HD Exit Screen8-Bitdo Special ArtAll Contributions My Youtube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/user/3ungle
