They really need to make a big sticky or note for new comers because it gets tiring telling every second person this... but the joystick controls in HQ do not work!

You can either use the "startup script" or a keymapper like xpadder or joytokey for HS navigation.

Us J2K or equivalent, set to UDLR on a HS profile.  Any other method is dicey at best.  Sure wish they would put analog controls in there.  How cool would it be to scroll through the games with a spinner or trackball...  Maybe next version.

thank you you. I still didn't find out how to set this up. I opened hype launch hq and then make + by xpadder and it installed, but I don't know how to set it up. What have it to do now?

I installed the joy to key and there everything works. I made profile. I works left right up down and all buttons. but in Hyperspin in the games steering left right and so on doesn't work. butt buttons work. Why ?

I made xpader profiles. launched xpadder and the steerings left right and so on still doesn't work
You can use xpadder or joytokey... not both!

Also these are used pretty much just for Hyperspin navigation. All game controls should be set up in their respective emulators.

what do you mean with udlr?

Arcade stick do they have analogue controls? That means that it doesn't work?

"Up Down Left Right" directional keys, set to the Up Down Left Right motions of the joystick.  HS doesn't do true analog input for game switching, but J2K (or whatever you decide to use to convert joystick signals to keystrokes) WILL convert UDLR analog joystick motions to an assigned keystroke.  What ISN'T possible at this time is to use true analog directly for game selection.  Spinners and trackballs are usually read by a PC as additional mice, and there's no way to use a mouse to select a game in HS (that I'm aware of).  I'm sure there's some way to convert a trackball to UDLR key stokes or spinner to UD, but what would really be the point in that?

I was just thinking about how cool it would be to sloooowly turn the spinner and have the HS wheel sloooowly move as well.  Or spin it fast and have the games quickly scroll by.  But the feature doesn't exist right now, so no point getting too gushy about it.

On a related note, did you open HyperHQ and make sure your settings match your J2K left right settings?
