OneBadVeggie Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Basic question, mostly out of sheer curiosity, like the title says, what systems are you using Mess and Mednafen with? Other than curiosity, I ask mostly because I'm always trying to streamline things, and try to run my setup with as few emulators as possible, and I'd like to hear opinions why you would use either of them over other emulators. My setup is like this currently: MESS: Atari 7800 ColecoVision SNK Neo Geo CD Mednafen: Atari Lynx Nintendo Virtual Boy SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color Sony Playstation In fact, if you prefer other emulators over MESS or Mednafen for any of the systems I listed above, I'd love to hear why. (Except PS1, I've tried a lot of PS1 emulators, and Mednafen is my favorite)
lovemaker72 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I use mednafen for PCE and all it's derivatives. I had issues with magic engine not going full screen or giving AHK failures. What are you using for PCE?

Thanks, Ron I agree about mednafen. Just on a quick side note. I've read about/ encountered a problem with systems that use DT. In my search I found to change the drive number in the module to get everything working, but i get that red "you tapered with the module" icon. Is there any other solution that I could have missed here? If not, no biggie as it works just fine, just gotta learn to not see the red mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Instagram : baddeolv Kik : baddeolv Facebook : Brian Addeo www.facebook.com/thecorepunk

What are you using for PCE? I use Ootake right now, but I've heard nothing but good things about Mednafens emulation. I may just switch myself. There are quite a few more supported systems in MESS, but I would like to expand the question:How many systems can only be run on MESS and no other emu?? Thanks, Ron The only one I know of is Colecovision. I use it for Atari 7800, because I find ProSystem to be a pain in the nuts. As for Neo Geo CD, I just found out that MESS had working emulation, and I've never been crazy about NeoRaine either. I agree about mednafen. Just on a quick side note. I could check on that and try to see if there is need for an additional option on hyperlaunch or the module options for dealing with that. Also, you made the change on the mednafen module only? Or do you need to do it on every emu that you use the Daemon tool? If you can, please add also a hyperlaunch.log file with and without the change of the game run on your computer and i will take a look at it. When asking for help for RocketLauncher, POST ON THE RLAUNCHER.NET FORUMS! Also, please post your RocketLauncher.log with logging level set to troubleshooting in pastebin (set the log level in RocketLauncherUI, global system > General Settings -> RocketLauncher). Ass.
