So- My ENTER key just 'stopped' working

Hi all

All of a sudden my ENTER key no longer starts games from within Hyperspin.

I had literally JUST 95% completed my first ever complete set up over the last 2 weeks and it hs worked PERFECTLY the entire time in all testing , playing etc.

 

1) Open Hyperspin - all starts as normal - Emulator selection wheel works.

2) Scroll wheel to MAME press ENTER - Hyperspin then goes to my Mame Game list ( wheel ) 

3) It is at THIS point the ENTER key no longer does 'anything' - in other words I cannot start ANY game.

4) It is identical in other emulators - I only run MAME, AAE and Future Pinball.

5) ALL other aspects of Hyperspin work correctly with the ENTER key - example " Do you wish to Exit " - YES - press ENTER and it exits.

** The games launch thru Rocket Launcher

** If I go and run MAME as a standalone - ENTER works as it should ( launches game from MAME Gui ) - is recognised as 'ANY' key ( to continue ) etc etc 

At a complete loss here -I have read some other threads on this but I am not 'great' with ini . xml editing etc ( yet - lol )  -  help ?

Maybe check and see if rocketlauncher is already running in the background. Given the enter key gets you into your game list, sounds like a problem between HS and RL. If RL hangs after exiting an emulator, it will not start the next time you start something.

Definitely not running in background ( I check that via Task Manager - yes ? )

If running, yes it should show in task manager, but easier still is here:

Even has a button to kill it if it is running!

Anyway, that log shows that enter IS working, you pushed it 5 times :-) So it sounds like RL is not receiving the command from HS.

Without seeing an RL log (not that I am very good with them anyway), I would suggest checking here for active and default:

Ok mine is different to that BUT thats how it has been since I installed it ( Initially I watched Doobreys video on Youtube  and it set up and worked perfectly - for 2 weeksthen stopped - hence this thread  ) - screenshot below.

However - as PC's are - I came home tonight , and the ENTER' just worked again - not sh*tting  you.

So I am still lost as to why it did that , or if it will fdo it again ( I am currently bench building all this before I load PC into arcade cabinet and wire up controls etc - and now wondering do I need to adjust my settings below as they are different to what you showed ?
