jkimrey Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Hi. I"m trying to upgrade my version of Hyperspin and just downloaded the 1.5.1 upgrade. I know in the past there has been false positives with firewall/virus scans for the download, but I'm getting a very specific warning when I try to extract from Windows Defender: Trojan:Win32/Zpevdo.A Alert Level: Severe Has anyone else received this message? I assume it's still safe to use? Thanks.
Creezz67 Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Here are your choices: 1: Trust that Hyperspin would not release an update full of viruses and that these are false positives (MY PERSONAL CHOICE) 2: Don't install this update they spent time on to fix the issues on Windows 10, meaning you can't use Hyperspin It's a very difficult decision
radarbiter Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 I just downloaded the 1.5.1 full install, as I am trying to start over with a fresh build on Windows 10. I received the same alert, along with a second: Trojan:Win32/Bluteal.B!rfn Alert Level: Severe I would definitely appreciate more information on this if anything is known. For now I'm undoing the changes. Windows Defender says that HyperHQ.exe is infected with Zpevdo.A and that HyperTheme.exe is infected with Bluteal.B!rfn.
