MonkeyJug Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I've have gone back to scratch on Xpadder. Deleted all my configs and started again. Thought I'd start with something easy, like MAME. I have 2 Xbox 360 wireless pads. I have set them up following the instructions, and they work perfectly, BUT!! when just one pad is connected, Player 1 light comes on on the joypad and it controls Player 1 in MAME. When I connect a second pad, Player 2 light comes on on the joypad, BUT the controls are then reversed, ie. Player 1 joypad controls player 2 and Player 2 joypad controls player 1. I've spent hours on this and can't work it out - anybody save my sanity!?!?!?
32assassin Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 actually MAME is far from the easy. The Problem with MAME; MAME creates a controller profile every time you start MAME MAME\cfg\Default.cfg By default you can't start MAME and then start your controllers. to solve this problem, -Start your 2 controllers -launch MAME --> let it create a Default.cfg with the 2 controllers. -Exit MAME --> set your Default.cfg to "Read Only" next time you run MAME and you only have one controller on, MAME will not be able to overwrite your Default.cfg file. You will also be able to start your controllers after launching MAME. After this you can create your Xpadder profiles.
MonkeyJug Posted May 21, 2014 Author Posted May 21, 2014 tried that - still swaps the controls around...
zerojay Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 If you're talking about the light on the 360 controllers, don't use them to tell you who player 1 or player 2 is. It doesn't always match up.
