MonkeyJug Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 As title, I'm trying to setup Kat5200. It works perfectly except I can't get it to run fullscreen. I'm playing on a 1080p plasma. I've tried ticking all different boxes and different resolutions but none will display in fullscreen. Best I get is a box in the middle taking up about 20% of the total screen size which is impossible to play from the sofa! Someone MUST have this running fullscreen???
bandit721 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Did you try executing with a command line switch (i.e. -fullscreen 1)? This doc says that there is also a widescreen command line switch: http://kat5200.jillybunch.com/doc/General-Usage.html
gigapig Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Someone MUST have this running fullscreen??? Yes. Either run the wizard again or set it to Fullscreen and Zoom 2x
OneBadVeggie Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 My biggest problem is making it full screen and 4:3. There's no real good option.
MonkeyJug Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Tried everything gigapig, to no avail. I'm running my HyperSpin PC through my AV receiver so I'm sure that's the problem... Even command line doesn't seem to change anything...

bandit721 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I have mine running fullscreen on a 24" widescreen LCD. I'm using the NTSC filter which enables an available resolutions drop-down to the right of the video setting screen. My monitors native resolution is in the list, so that's what is set to. I also have the "fullscreen" checkbox selected. Not sure if you've tried enabling the NTSC filter or not.
gigapig Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 My biggest problem is making it full screen and 4:3. There's no real good option. You've messed with these options? It gives you black bars all round or on the sides, shame bezels don't work yet with Kat. Select from the Avail FS modes and click OK.
OneBadVeggie Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I basically just get a box in the center, so it's surrounded by black. Maybe I can get a screen shot... edit: Holy crap, I've actually found settings that give me a 4:3 look. Check it out. Can't get a screen shot, but I have black bars on the sides, but none on the top. Looks good.
