Genre Wheel

I recently started setting up genre wheels. When I go into a genre and hit escape to back out I get backed out to the main menu. How can I show all games again rather than just the genre that i selected?

Gotta go back to genres and select all games or back out of the wheel and back

I don't have an all games wheel. Do I just copy and paste my xml and rename it to make that happen?

Also, how can I adjust the y positioning of the genre wheel? I would like to put it in the middle rather than at the bottom. I have looked through the settings xml and can't locate this option. Thank you.

You can adjust the wheel position in hyperhq. For the all games ya I suppode you could copy the main xml then rename it. Don’t forget to add the bit in the genre xml

You suppose? What's the other option? HyperHQ has no option to move the genre wheel to the middle of the screen.

It’s all or nothing with the wheel. If you want the genre wheel in the center than all the wheels will be in center. In hyper hq there is an option to adjust the wheel location and position. Please look again. Watch my hq video you’ll run right into it.

When you use dons tools it should create an all genre so if it doesn’t do that then ya you have to do it manually like discussed but I never had to do it manually

I am using the Aeon Nox theme and on the Youtube video the genre wheel is in the middle. I am also using Don's tool's but no All wheel is created. Maybe I am using an outdated version but I just downloaded it about two weeks ago.

Hi,

Just add a line "All Games" in the genre.xml file (copy/paste another genre like "boxing" or "action" and simply replace it with "All Games"). Don's tool don't create this line when you split your database, so you have to add that manually each time you create a genre file.

Hyperspin will display the genre in the same order they are in the genre.xml. So if you want to move them, order it in this file (All games on the Bottom, middle..etc..).

The aeon theme is a lot of custom work in general and you should probably ask in that sub forum. You adjust the wheel in hyperhq though

Puedes editar el xml de Mame  con notepad++ y adicionar "GenerosArcade" como el primero  y estará en el centro cuando ingrese a Mame si a eso te refieres la ubicación lo determinas desde HQ > Wheels Settings > Mame > Wheels > Position > horizontal
