dark13 Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I'm developing an android iconset respecting C64's sprite limits, I need some feedback as I'm not sure if using dithered icons or nomal icons in the final release. Dithered seems more "C64" but they are a bit confusing and there would be less "consistency" as not every icon can be dithered. All icons were designed using the limits of C64 sprites, basically the icons are a multicolor sprite (3 colors + trasparent) + a hi-res sprite (black + trasparent). You are supposed to use Home Screen.jpg as home screen background. Some icons need 4 color but C64 can't do this, so I used trasparent as fourth color (dark blue). I used pepto's old c64 palette overlayed to pepto's c64 new palette. The new palette is more similar to real c64 colors but it's a bit too dark for a GUI. Icons are designed at 22*22 in a 24*24 space. Slightly off-standard as C64's max sprite resolution is 22*21. The zip contains themes for huawei devices (tested on p20 lite, emui 9.1) and a .png version of the iconsets so you can load icons on every device using an external launcher. If you own a Huawei device copy the .hwt in Huawei/Themes (internal storage or SD, it's the same) and apply it with themes app. Applying the iconset and the font trought "personalization" option would be better as themes, besides icons and font, are just the basic theme from huawei's HWTool.
