Jon.Damico Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I am having issues with the Sega Model 2 emulator. It loads outside Hyperspin with no issues, but within Hyperspin I only hear audio and the emulator is running in command prompt only. I saw a post with another member having the same issue and he updated to RocketLauncher.0.1.1 and it fixed his issue, but i can't seem to find it anywhere. I tried using GIT, but it states I need service pack 3, which I have never been able to install on this computer for some reason. Is it possible to download the update from the ftp? Or is there another way around this issue? Thank You! Currently running Sega Model 2 version 1.0 ( I tried 1.1a, but it didn't work) Windows XP 32 bit (My old computer, which is dedicated to the arcade system) Hyperlaunch version 3.0.0.9. Let me know if you would like more information. If you want a log, please tell me where it is at, I haven't had too many errors, where I needed to use them.
Agrajag Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 GIT is required to keep HyperLaunch updated, so I reckon you'll have to find some way to install service pack 3 or switch to Win7 or 8. HyperSpin behaving oddly? Read about known bugs here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/4590-known-bugs-and-handy-hints-for-hyperspin/ The installer for HyperSpin now includes HyperLaunch 2. gigapig Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Your priority is to get your install up to date with GIT, I know this is what you already know but it's important as I doubt anyone can help until then. I've had a quick look at installing sp3, are you getting an access denied error? Do you have another machine you can do the update on then copy the files across?
Dogway Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Hello Jon.Damico, good software is the one that doesn't need to be installed. With that said you don't need GIT. Go here and look for the needed files: http://code.google.com/p/hyperlaunch-3/source/browse/
Jon.Damico Posted June 29, 2014 Author Posted June 29, 2014 Wow! Thank you DogWay! I am going to guess just drag and replace? I am going to make a back-up just in case, better safe than sorry. I will post if that fixes my issue with Sega Model 2. Thanks Again! and with XP, I was given this computer years ago when I was in high school and it errors out during the install for some reason. I reinstalled Windows using the disks that the person had given me, but it still errors. I reinstalled about 9 months ago, before starting on this project, but I don't remember the error message. I spent a few days on it before saying fook it. haha. The disk was given to me fairly scratched up, so I just mentally blamed it on that. A few years after getting the computer, I built my own computer with Vista, then upgraded to 7, and I held onto to this guy figuring it might have some use. And then I discovered Hyperspin.... This is the first issue I have had with it not being on SP3, but thanks to DogWay, I now don't care that its doesn't have SP3. haha. I am planning on turning this into a kiosk like computer using instant sheller and not touching it unless it breaks or errors, so future updates aren't a big deal for me. At least for the next 5 years, which I will probably have a new computer by then and hyperspin probably won't even support 32 bit computers anymore. haha. Thanks Again!
Jon.Damico Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Sorry, life has gotten in the way recently. haha. It worked seamlessly. Perfect fix.
