jbrodie Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Hey! I've looked around at many videos to find a solution to this issue, but none seem to touch on the issue I am having. I have an Ultimarc trackball installed, using Windows10, Hyperspin, Mame .18X. Track ball is connected through iPAC board. The trackball is functional. I can scroll the pointer in Windows using the trackball. When I go to the MAME inputs to configure INPUT (General) or INPUT (this machine).. I can access the Analog X/Analog Y to reconfigure, but moving the trackball doesn't register. I see a pointer on the screen that moves with the trackball input, but the configuration screen isn't recognizing the input. I am assuming there is something wrong in an INI file somewhere.. Extremely baffled.. Can anyone help me? Regards, Jason
Mrmikey73 Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Should be mouse I think or trackball in ini that needs to be set to 1 if I remember correctly
jbrodie Posted May 10, 2021 Author Posted May 10, 2021 Hey Mr.Mikey, I have looked at the .ini files, and switched mouse and multimouse for zero to one. I've done this with both on and one of each on. This isn't changing the behavior. both off. Maybe I am looking at the wrong ini files. In that same list, the joystick is turned off. That makes sense to me as each switch is tied back to the keyboard. Seeing the pointer, and being able to move it on the screen is confusing me. I've read comments about pointers, but I'm not seeing anything on this. The response shown in the video occurs with both the trackball and my mouse. Mame_nav.mp4
gigapig Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Yeah make sure you are changing the correct ini file as sometimes there is one in the root folder. You should just use the ones in the ini folder. This vid may or may not have some info in and you could also post your ini for us to check.
