The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Elgato Stream Deck

I know the subject has been brought up before however I have been unable to find a solution as of yet.

I have a 15 button Elgato Stream Deck attached to my cabinet. My goal is to have the stream deck button functionality to work so that I can press a "go" or "exit" button on the stream deck and have it navigate through the wheels (to include exiting HS back to windows).

I was able to get mame (directly) to work with it by editing the mame.ini file and changing the "OSD INPUT OPTIONS" - "keyboardprovider" from "Auto" to "dinput".  Doing so has allowed me to access the service menu as well as exit games while playing a rom using mame directly. However with HyperSpin, I have been unable to find such a setting.  Does anyone know what program would need to be installed/modified/changed to allow HS to see the Stream Deck as a keyboard?

Any help is much apricated.

Wow that thing is bonkers. If it shows up in Windows as some of controller then you should be OK to use JoyToKey or the Hyperspin Start Up Script.

I have one and use it to do tons of stuff. If your wanting to have it do a back key say ESC just set up a button on the elgato as a hotkey and assign what ever key you want and it will do what your asking about. You shouldn't have to set it up as a keyboard in hyperspin just make sure to have the software load in the background when hyperspin starts up and you will be fine. Hopefully that helps you out.
