Need to be pointed in the right direction please higher powered games are only running in massive slow motion GTA vice city for example about 10 times as slow for playing it did work but most ps2 games are like this i've tried other higher powered systems same thing they did work okay but no more changed graphics card incase and tried a different pc just incase still the same which would suggest a program issue but where to look, Had though processor as both computers are only 6th gen maybe it can't cope 

I'm having enough trouble getting joysticks to work now this slow motion stuff its never ending any ideas would really help

Ok, I'm curious, what are the specs of the pc?

I'm assuming you are using PCSX2 but what version? And are you able to provide the setting you are using?

Motherboard Asus z170p 

I 5-6400 cpu @ 2.7GHz

Ram 16 GB

GPU Radeon RX 570 series

PCSX2 1.4 

although it’s not only PlayStation roms it happens on other systems also I found the issue when trying out GTA and also on dynasty warriors seams like high end graphic games that’s why I thought or rather guessed at 1st over heating then graphics upgraded just in case (not the answer)

Your PC is definitely capable of running PS2 games smoothly.

Your PCSX2 is very out of date. I would first update it before attempting to improve the settings. There are a lot of settings guide videos for version 1.7 on YouTube.

If it's a system wide slow down, that could be so many things, it's too difficult to easily provide assistance.
