The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Adding a Steam will is giving me a headache.

I am following a youtube video guide for adding a Steam wheel. However, whenever I go to edit the PCLauncher.ahk file for Steam, theres no box asking for my path to steam. I've tried deleting everything and starting over and I still cannot get it to ask me where my steam folder is. So i tried skipping that step but everytime I try to launch a game it just doesnt boot. Any advice would be appreciated.... I am trying to have both Steam and PC Games in my wheel, as one, or two separate categories, it doesn't matter, seems that everything gets put into PCLauncher anyway.

thanks

just for clarification, by edit the ahk file i mean, In HyperlaunchHQ, PCLauncher menu on the left, Modules button on the top, PCLauncher.ahk selected, and press Edit Global Module Settings. In the video I saw, instead of "HideCursor" option, it has a "SteamPath" or something box.

Hi SpatzST

Edit: Is it my guide by any chance, if so I need to edit it.

Sounds like you've updated your setup via GIT, and the path to steam box was removed some time ago after the video was recorded; you don't need that anymore.

If your Steam games aren't launching you may have to edit the module.

Go to :\HyperLaunch\Modules\PCLauncher and open PCLauncher.ahk in Notepad++.

Look for line 90, which looks like this. Run("Start steam://rungameid/" . SteamID . " " . Parameters)

Remove the word Start from that line and save, your games should now launch.

If not please post your Hyperlaunch log set to troubleshooting level.

Do you have a guide for getting House of the dead 3 to run without the launcher?

Was it you who asked or pm'd via youtube?

Yes I can, it's been a while since I did it, or I may be able to tell you here.

you are awesome! thanks gonna watch it tomorrow.

I guess, since you are here, do you know anything about Troubleshooter lightgun program? I run HOTD3, I can move the mouse with both guns on the main menu of the game (not the launcher, the actual game), but once I start the actual game (survival mode), nothing works, cant shoot, can't aim. Then I hit menu button, mouse shows up, works/moves. Just doesn't function in the actual game.

The only yrouble I've had with menus not working is because the game had been installed on my machine for years and not touched. So I reinstalled and all was well.

Hi, great job on the guides, I could not have gotten to where I am with out these.

One thing I'd like to comment on. If the PCLauncher.ahk is modified it will produce the following warning in HyperLaunchHQ: "Invalid CRX, module might have been tampered" Is there anyway to get rid of this?

Thanks.

Not to my knowledge, each module must have a CRC or some other code which would be generated from the contents of the module. It's a great system for keeping things in check.

I just live with it until the official module is released, and I have a feeling the Pclauncher module will be having a major update quite soon.

Thanks, I kind of suspected that :)
