Zablon Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 **FIXED** I have an issue trying to run WinIpac. It used to work - I have a config set up that was working fine (as a test). I tore everything down to finish the cab, put it back together. I went to reconfigure and now when I try to run WinIpac it looks like it loads and runs, however no window comes up. It is in the taskbar and task manager, and the IPAC IS working (with my programmed config). At first I thought the window was off the screen, but there is no "move" option. Using: Win 7 64-bit IPAC2 I tried uninstalling, disconnecting the IPAC and rebooting, then reinstalling and it still has same issue. Anyone ever encounter this? Is there some registry entry somewhere that may need deleted?
Zablon Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Yes, that wasn't the issue. Resolved it by going in and deleting every registry entry. n/m maybe I should just go to bed
Zablon Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Ok new problem. This one is kinda odd. So, everything works great for awhile, but after 4-5 games, at the end of a game (after losing the last ball) the keys quit working. Everything you press just gives a "click" sound in the speakers. This is the same for the IPAC buttons and an actual keyboard. Unplugged them both, reconnected, and same thing. Reboot, and it's fine for another 4-5 games, then repeat. ?? No clue what this would be caused by...
jeepguy81 Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 per the "click" sound, my first idea would be a bad ground loop somewhere maybe? Granted this is mostly in cars, but i've seen many many bad grounding situations that induced odd noises into a system. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
Gilrock Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Yes, that wasn't the issue. Resolved it by going in and deleting every registry entry.n/m maybe I should just go to bed I know this post is 2 years old but apparently they never fixed this WinIpac issue. You launch the program and just get an icon in the taskbar. Then the only thing you can do is right-click click it and I forget the option but it creates a second icon. Hovering over that you can see a smaller version of the window but the move option did not allow me to get it on the screen. I was able to make it start in 640x480 and then the second icon hovering method would finally bring a window onto the screen. I even searched the registry for Winipac hoping to see a window position stored there I could fix or delete. I guess tonight I'll see if I can delete everything with the name WinIpac related to it from the registry. And don't get me started on how running WinIpac makes the pinDMD2 start failing. Took me like 6 hours of reinstalling everything and it still failing before I tracked that one down.
