Hi, I would like to start creating HyperThemes for a console's library of games, but I am not sure where to start: specifically, where do you (anyone) find good quality images to use as layers? Thank you.

I am not sure if there are existing libraries out there which gets utilized by many people, or if you just have to manually do it: use google image search > use photoshop to enhance/crop out the background > save as png

That's pretty much it. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find a transparent png but that's rare. AI image enlarging works a lot of the time for lower resolution images, but not always. And background removal tools have improved over the years, but I still find that learning the pen tool is best to achieve clean edges.

Exactly like the man stated above. Get Gimp, Photopea or Photoshop. master the pentool, that's a must.
