The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hi guys, sorry I know another.

Ive had a good read throught this thread http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?27754-LOGITECH-F310-Cotroller-for-Hyperspin-Question&p=264251#post264251 and also this one http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?29648-Xpadder-Help for recommended fixes but im struggling to get my head around it.

What I dont understand is how HyperSpin is triggering the profile switch and maybe thats where im going wrong. What is watching the .exe (if that is whats happening) and how can I check or alter the trigger for profile launching.

I understand the profile tree for the xpadder profiles and how that works but without understanding what triggers the launch of that, is HyperSpin just watching that folder and if an appropriately named profile is in there it just loads it?

Where I am confused is there are references to dir structure of for eg HyperSPin\HyperLaunch\Profiles... what if I have C:\Hyperspin and then separate C:\Hyperlaunch ? Also there are refernces to putting the xpadder .exe into the Utilities folder, neither my hyperspin or hyperlaunch dir's have a Utilities folder, do I create one within Hyperspin, or hyperlaunch?

Sorry for all the questions normally i'm pretty good at figuring this stuff out but ive spend some significant time on this with no progress.

Finally and this should probably go somewhere else, on my Kega Fusion Im having resolution issues. On the HTPC when I open it the fullscreen resolution option doesnt exist at all, however when I open it on my main rig (note its being launched from a network location) it is there? bizzare! It resized the entire desktop to 640 x 480 on the HTPC and I have to manually change it back to 1920 x 1080.

Sorry for all the questions guys and I know its going to be one that has been near enough answered before, I have tried my best to read through and fix it myself.

Thanks for any help offered.

Cheers,

Dayle.

Hyperspin has nothing to do with xpadder, this is all done by hyperlaunch. The easiest way to check it would be to turn look at your HyperLaunch.log with logging level set to troubleshooting. You can set the logging level to troubleshooting in HyperLaunchHQ in the global system under General Settings -> HyperLaunch. Altering it won't be as easy as you suspect for you will need to hunt down the hyperlaunch code that deals with xpadder.

Your profiles folder location in hlhq tells hyperlaunch where your profiles are and this is changeable, although splitting the profile folder up into different trees is impossible afaik.

Check the module settings for kega fusion and see if there is a resolution option. If not launch kega fusion sans hyperlaunch and change the resoultion and then close it.

Thanks for the responses guys. It's 4:50am but I'll check these when I get up.

RE: Fusion resolutions, I am launching them outside of HS/HL and on my main rig get the resolution options, but on the other am not.
