Mednafen -- Editing CFG files?

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to edit the Mednafen config files to change the aspect to "Full" for Lynx and other emulators. I have tried editing the setting directly in mednafen-09x.cfg to:

;Stretch to fill screen.

lynx.stretch full

Nothing happens when I do this. The settings revert to default as soon as I launch a game.

I have tried creating a lynx.cfg file with:

<system>.stretch full

OR

;Stretch to fill screen.

lynx.stretch full

Neither has any affect.

What am I missing?

I am a total newbie at this, but this is what my config file states,

;Stretch to fill screen.

lynx.stretch aspect

My emulator goes full screen, so if it isn't that check the resolution and try setting it to the same as Hyperspin.

Let me know if that works if not I'll copy my config in here and you can see whats different.

Editing the cfg file directly never works for me.

Solved the problem by using mednaffe gui

are you using notepad or wordpad?

if so, I recommend a more advanced take editor. Plenty of choices....

Tried many, including Notepad++

Editing isn't the problem. Mednafen was simply ignoring/overwriting the edits

if your changes are being ignored, sounds like it could be cached somewhere like the APPdata folder?

What version of Mednafen is it? 0.9.36.3 on Windows 7 64 bit?

ghutch has a good suggestion, I would try that before you have dig deep and sniff around.
