WolfgangLaRocco Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I'm finally about to start building my cabinet, but I can't seem to decide on something... I've noticed some official arcade cabs and some of YOUR cabs tilt the control panel at a slight angle. I have also seen otherwise. In your opinion, which is the best to go with?
BadBoyBill Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I've usually seen angles of 1" - 2" higher in the back than the front height measurement. I also see people do no angle, and go flat which is fine to, which im doing right now. This site has a lot of good reference plans for you to see what height you want to use for the front and rear of your cp. http://www.jakobud.com/plan-list.php
Mulkaccino Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 My CP is 2 feet in depth and I have the back 1 1/4" higher than the front. Very comfortable.
slydog43 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 my 2nd cabinet had too much angle and prevented the trackball from working perfectly. My newest cabinet has only 1" in 16" of depth and trackball works great. Just something to keep in mind.
codemonkey76 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I didn't even consider the angle, Mine has a fall of just over 2 inches over a depth of 19 inches.
Polemicist Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 LOL. Answering some pretty old questions there bro. Slagcoin has a great amount of info on control panel angles and their history.
codemonkey76 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 lol, how did I necro this thread, it was up the top for me so I thought it was new
