The Tankinator Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Hello, I am having a bit of trouble trying to get Future Pinball working correctly in HyperSpin. Whats happened is, whenever I go to load a table, for example, Medieval Madness inside HyperSpin, it loads the emulator fine BUT just after the pop up for Future Pinball goes away and it begins to load the process for the table before going full screen, I get all these windows pop up saying "unabled to find libary suchandsuchsound.fpl - some functions will be missing from the game". Strange huh? The same thing happens with nearly ALL my tables I have for Future pinball, and the strange thing is, is when I load them out side of HyperSpin, so just loading the actual Future Pinball program by itself, the tables work fine! No error messages for not finding fpl files! I've tried telling HyperLaunchHQ to look for the FPL files in the ROM extentions thinking that'll fix it, but nope. Running future pinball as admin doesn't do anything, in fact it makes it worse. The only pinball table that works in HyperSpin is DR Dude, but screw him I don't want no Dr Dude I want some Medieval Madness! I wanna kick ass and chew bubble gum in Duke Nukem pinball tables! But I can't through hyperspin. So if anyone has any ideas that could help I'd greatly appreciate it. Many thanks in advance. P.S. I have got M.A.M.E. working and this is my first attempt on a different emulator for hypserspin besides mame.
gigapig Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 How have you extracted your games into Future Pinball? Most tables come with a .fpt file which is what you load into FP, these go in the Tables folder, and mine are compressed; but that should not make a difference. the other files .fpl files which gone in the libraries folder. So Hyperlaunch should be looking for either .zip or .fpt. Hope that helps, I've been messing with FP lately and getting some cool new tables. Welcome to the forum.
marxkemp Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Wait what..is it possible to use compressed files with FP including the ftp and lib files in the same zip? Didnt know that but hope so

Didnt know that but hope so No no no, well I've not tried. The .fpt file can be archived and placed in the tables folder, the fpl files need to be in the libraries folder uncompressed.
gigapig Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I've tried that now, and obviously the table loads but I did get a script error a few minutes in.
marxkemp Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 I leave them uncrompressed And i have all libs together Had to delete a few because they have the same filenames Hopefully all tables stil work
