thenoob Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 So a friend of mine game me some wicked mame xml files, but I drop them in and they don't show up on my wheel. I put them here Hyperspin/databases/mame With all the other xml lists. But they are not showing up. I don't know how he made them but they work for him. Just curious if anyone might know why my machine isn't seeing them?
eezetee Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 You might be better off making a new wheel item and putting them in there. There is only a single mame.xml file which is the main index for all the others. Also, if I may ask, how can a mame xml be wicked? I mean, it's just a list of games that are probably already in the list that you can download here. Or did you mean that they're sorted or filtered?
thenoob Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 There sorted, A top 50 of sorts Co-op sports games etc Just organized and makes browsing a lot more easier Making. New wheel that's done in hyperHQ not hyperlaunchhq correct?
eezetee Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 make a new xml and add a new wheel in hyperspin.
thenoob Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 I'm trying to get away from that if possible. I did make a new wheel, added the xml to make sure it was generated properly and it did show up fine. I'd like to have this in mame if possible to avoid setting up a ton of work (videos/artwork) etc. I initially dropped the xml's into the main mame database with all the other ones (racing/shooter/baseball/hockey) etc but they don't show up in the list when I go to that part when in hyperspin. Any idea how as to why they are not showing up??
thenoob Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 Just so I'm making sense Here they are at the bottom of the mame lists. When I scroll to the wheel where all of these are, mine don't show up
