Matching Genesis/SNES/NES romsets to Hyperspin XML database

Hi guys,

I am having trouble getting my enormous romsets copacetic with the existing Hyperspin XML databases. My NES, SNES & Genesis romsets have been giving me the most trouble because Don's Rom Renamer keeps ignoring many roms due to the CRC check failing (even though the Roms themselves are perfectly good). I then tried to get the roms automatically renamed as close as possible with HyperSpin Rom Manager, which did an OK job, but still left out quite a few (by my count, around 100-120 for each system.

I can always generate a new XML based off of my Romset, but the problem then becomes my artwork not lining up with my games -- it seems the easiest solution would be to just get my roms in order, but it will take many, many hours to do this. Is there an easier way? am i overlooking something? A program that I am not aware of, perhaps?

Any help in the right direction would be great!

Thanks,

Tyler

I'm having the same issue.  I need to be able to create a custom xml file from my roms that match the artwork within hyperspin without renaming my roms because of seeding the torrent.  Is there anyway to achieve this without tedious work, or is there some program that will do it for me?  Or do I have to copy the roms and rename them from the originals? Going that direction, I would have to do this every single time a torrent is updated.  Any help or ideas are appreciated.  Thanks.
