Another ePsxe woe

Hi guys, i have ePsxe working both inside and outside of HS as long as i do not select "rom only" in HQ. As soon as i select this it will not go to psx sub wheel, but if i leave it unchecked it will. Games can be played (as long as i have them) but i want to tidy up. What is going on?

Do you have the games named correctly compared to the XML? Also I would re consider another PSX emu. ePSxe has many issues with emulation. RetroArch is my personal choice. Mednafen is very good also and if your feeling extra crazy... Xebra.

Hi, yes am using up to date xml. I use epsxe as i use an aimtrak lightgun and managed to get it working with this (with Troubleshooter). Does Retroarch have Aimtrak support?

I am going to D/L a full PSX romset if i have to, but this seems overkill!! If i mark as Wheel Art Only it works fine, but as soon as Rom is selected in HQ its a no-go

Hmmm a good question. I have never used them so I have not looked into it. It does have a mountain of options to play with so I would think it may... afraid I cant confirm.

I understand your XML is up to date... but the games you have, are they named the same as the names in the XML?

Have renamed approx 100 roms to match XML, which still leaves 400ish named wrongly. I am testing on games i know are audited and found through HLHQ thus i know are correctly named

each rom filtering options have their pros and cons,

I switched over to the wheel only filter, But I can't do that for systems that don't have a full wheel set.

Their is a bug with the rom only filter if you have your ISO/CUE files in sub folders.

Im not sure if you want to do this. However I have all mine 7z and that gives me no issues whatsoever. But this does mean larger loading times, but less HD space

Austin585, how long is long? Lol. Have found a full torrent of approx 380Gb which is 7z, could i just d/l and use as is? Sorry but showing my inexperience now

Hey i had the same problem and fixed by setting up hyperHQ.. Fill ur rom extension and rom folder for psx.. That solved it for me. Hope ir helps
