Hello Everyone,

My friends and just finished building a 4 player arcade style pedestal that was manufactured by Monster Arcades. Everything is hooked up, but we're having trouble mapping the controls to the emulators that are ran through hyperspin. Is there software we need to be able to map these controls? We're having a hard time trying to figure out how to map each emulator so we can play some games! I appreciate the help, sorry we're newbs. post-136595-142870660857_thumb.jpg

nice setup and welcome to the forums.

advice on emulator key mapping is dependent on what hardware you are using to convert your buttons/joysticks to PC inputs.

if you are using a:

Keyboard encoder: you will need a uniform key mapping scheme. I suggest not using the MAME key layout, or you will be kicked out of hyperspin with certain button combos.

Joystick encoder: you will need Xpadder due to the joystick bug found in Hyperspin.

Thank you so much for the help. It's been a pain wiring everything up. Now we just have to figure out these controls and buttons. Check out the wiring setup.post-136595-142870660887_thumb.jpg

I have a spool of Cat 5e cable that I use to make my wiring runs. I just cut whatever length I need and with 8 wires per cable you need 1 length per button/joystick bank with it all pre-sleeved to keep the runs neat.
