bartmarley Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Hello guys! i'm tryin to achieve a nds theme based on unifiedmegatheme visuals so i finished to have this in my photoshop : now when i import the psd to hypertheme i can't properlly fit the video :( it's always off the red edges i try to achieve. i think i have to manually twitch with the Theme.xml so in that case how can i properly calculate the numbers i have to change?
craiganderson Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I always have trouble getting "tilted" videos to fit perfectly. Even using r, rx, ry in the theme but maybe its a lack of my skill..... sometimes i end up just hiding a little bit of the video behind the artwork,...its not "perfect" but you really cant tell in my opinion good luck looks cool what level is the handheld in the theme? artwork 1, 2, 3, 4 or video.png? just curious http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
bartmarley Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 hey craig, so i ususally use Video overlay, but in this particular theme, i had to firstly fit as close as possible the video into the red corners, but when i move video i also move overlay... so i put console image as Artwork1, but the video is not below it, so i see the mess my video is in the theme i saw a theme of DR where his nds video was hella deformed to perfectly match his theme, should had to pm him.
craiganderson Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 couple options option 1 there are offset numbers u can use in the theme.xml to offset the .mpg and the video.png option 2 move the image up to layer 2 to get the video underneath it .. just ideas good luck http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
craiganderson Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I'm sure the experts can give more advice as well.. http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
zomboided Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Use the screen grab at 1024 by 768, import into photoshop and then manipulate the NDS console until the video display of the console is a square-on 4:3 rectangle on the screen. Make the image partially transparent over your original PSD and manipulate the original to match. Output that into HT and use HT to angle the image. I did this with my ZX Spectrum theme, but not to the degree you're trying to achieve here. Nice theme too, like this one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
