betic Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but the game Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa is named moomesa in the database on Hyperlist (as is the correct rom name) and the theme and wheel are named moo. All those are from the latest db, minted set wheels and themes. I changed mine here to match and all is well on my end. Just thought I'd give the admins a heads up.
brolly Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 There are more on the same situation, I think the wheel and theme sets on the ftp are minted for .144. Someone still needs to run MAMERenSet on those. In fact, .146 is out so better wait and update them for it at once. I'll be updating the db soon.
betic Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Cool. Good to know. With thousands of games, themes, alternate themes and the names of games changing a bit with every mame release, it's gotta be a challenge to stay on top of it. Wish mame just used long file names and they stayed the same. That would be awesome for the db and ease of updating it.
boot_sequence Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I could not for the life of me figure out where this game went! rom is there, check. art is in the wheel, check. the name of the picture in the wheel folder (moo) is now duplicated but changed to (moomesa) and now it shows up in hyperspin! wild west c.o.w. boys of moo mesa is one of my favorite all time arcade games. THANKS for the pointer!
