MAME video snaps won't play (neither MP4 nor FLV)

Hey guys,

I got everything installed (current version 1.3.3.3) and running using just the MAME emulator for now.

Everything works great except none of the MAME snap videos are playing. I ran HyperSync Cloud and it downloaded all the videos into C:\HyperSpin\Media\MAME\Video

I got the path set properly in HyperHQ as seen here:

Now I do have an Intel mobo and using the integrated Graphics (G41 Express Chipset). However, I did disable hardware acceleration in IE and also did it in the Adobe Flash player.

However, I went ahead and downloaded the EmuMovies Video converter and converted a few MP4 videos to FLV and those still didn't play.

What's really odd is that when I initially did the install, the video for 88 Games did play (this was the only video included in the base install).

Any idea what's going on?

ps In the next version, the text in the above box should be changed from "Path to flv videos:" to "Path to flv/mp4 videos:" :)

Thanks!

That path is not really required, I don't have them filled in.

What you will need though is a theme or a default theme for the videos to play in.

If all you have is a few themes and a default or just the default, then make sure "Reload backgrounds " is checked in HyperHQ.

Thanks, that was it! My C:\HyperSpin\Media\MAME\Themes folder was empty. Once I copied everything over manually from "Minted Set" from the HS art I downloaded, all was fine.

If you set up hypersync.and setup systems and hit default then Scan it will auto grab content and place it in the media folder rather then doing it manually this is the best option
