Ibanezmike Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I am trying to get games to load in STEEM for the Atari ST. I can open the STEEM emulator no worries and it has "Disk A", "Disk B" and the "Trash" at the bottom. But when I open HyperlaunchHQ and try to launch a game, it just opens up the STEEM emulator to the desktop every time. Now I am a super noob in reguards to the Atari ST and old computer systems so I know it's probably just a setting i need to set but there are quite a few settings in STEEM and I have no idea what 3/4 of them do. Is there another emulator I should be using for the Atari ST or do you guys need a screen shot of all my settings to help me figure out whats wrong? Thanks -Mike
craiganderson Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 you could try this it uses gamebase to launch steem just an option http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?38664-Atari-ST http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/

If it isn't possible to get the Atari ST to work with Hyperspin it wouldnt worry me in the slightest, I am just a bit of an OCD freak and like to have all systems supported if possible.

Ibanezmike Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 Alrighty, I have downloaded Gamebase v1.1 but when i go to "manage emulators" and try to add STEEM the OK button is greyed out? I have typed Atari ST as the name and chose the STEEM exe for the Path/Filename.
craiganderson Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 some of the necessary stuff to download is located on my little page http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/ scroll down and look for atari st but i would say read the instructions here FIRST here are the instructions look for red text takes a little tinkering http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?38664-Atari-ST/page6 http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/

Also I looked at the video of you setting up the STEEM emulator path and you have 3 emulators that show up in the GEMU menu whereas I only have the Manage Emulators listed. I am completley and utterly lost in all this, I think I will just leave the Atari ST alone for a while. Thanks for all the help you've given me, I am quite new to the world of emulators so I will come back to the more advanced emulators a bit later on.
Nexus23 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 You can also use Hatari, find it on my FTP folder! It`s not hard to setup! Craiganderson turtorial is also very good, do it step by step! Take a lock at the Video! Hatari also works good for Atari ST, but i think steem is the better Emulator with more compatible!

Mess around with some easier systems and then come back to this one. http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
