Well dudes, this weekend is the kick off to the famous SXSW(aka south by south west) festival here in Austin and this year im going to the gaming expo. I have no idea what to expect, Im hoping lots of hand outs and hands on demos. My buddy who owns an arcade the next town over is bringing up 25 of his arcade cabinets to supply this years free play game room. He has asked me to bring up my HS rig to show off. Im planning on running only about 50 games total on maybe about 10 different systems, just to show off the versatility of the program. I plan on taking lots of videos of the arcade set up to share with you guys, and I welcome all in the area to join us!

Sweet!

Good luck there! SXSW is a swarm of people. ;) Just crazy around Austin at that time.

This thread will be deemed "useless" without pictures when you get back. ;)

Thanks,

let me start of by saying this. I didnt take my HS rig because the guy running the arcade was feeling the heat of devs being there. But its a good thing, to show it off at an event like this it needs to be in a cabinet. The event center they had this at was WAY TOO SMALL for a free event in this city. I had trouble even standing at booths just to check stuff out, the crowds were moving like schooling fish. I got a few pics and 2 videos.

This was my friends Hotline cabinet he made for Devolver studios

This was probably the coolest pinball ive ever played. most of the play field was a touch screen that followed the ball around. There was like 30 different space themed mini games that you could activate. I had to roll my ball over a shit load of space insects to get one of my ships weapons back. also had to repair my ship at a junk yard using the ball to hit certain objects. Super fun game
