Styphelus Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I'm experiencing a really weird issue. I added SweetFX to Sega Model 2 and it's looks great. The problem is when I add a bezel, the screen gets darker and SweetFX gets all messed up. Turning off the bezel clears everything up and the game goes back to looking good again. I tried different resolution bezels and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
Styphelus Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 No one has this issue? Has a similar problem with demul. Once I add a bezel, SweetFX looks really ugly. Guess no one is playing these systems. Oh well.
gigapig Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I never bothered adding it, but now you've done it I may do. I assume it's because of the resolution change, you may need to mess with the crt settings in the Sweetfx.ini. The range on one of the options is 1 to 8 but I have tried slightly higher numbers.
Styphelus Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Did you have any luck with this? I tried different emulator resolutions emulator, different bezel resolutions and different sweetfx settings and nothing seems to work. I ended up going full screen (I like shaders better than bezels). I noticed that some games like Daytona will actually work at 16:9 with no strech while others like Dead or Alive will stretch as expected.
gigapig Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 No I didn't, you know why? Because I tried it with Sega Model 3 I'll try it now.
gigapig Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Was it you who sent me SweetFX to work with NullDC? I dropped those in to try and with bezels it looks bad but at full screen it looks fantastic and has some nice vignette on the corners. To get it half decent with bezels I had to use my Amiga SweetFx and set the CRT res to 1024x768. Here is the result. I think I may stick with Full screen though.
