The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hyperspin not reading the correct path

Hi everyone i'm new to this..been reading up a lot on the forum. I ran into a little bit of a snag. I can't seem to launch any games from Hyperspin. I believe the reason is hyperspin is launching the old hyperlauncher not the new one .V3 that I installed in its own folder. I did edit the path in the settings folder but maybe I missed something.

Anyone have any idea what I did wrong?

I will attach a screenshot of my settings file and my log file

Hi Methos01, welcome to the forum.

The path you changed looks good, apart from HyperSpin not being capitalised (hyperspin. G:\hyperspin\HyperLaunch.exe)

Other than that I can't see a problem, perhaps post your HyperLaunch log set to troubleshooting.

Cheers

Hi,

It might also be, are you using the newest HyperSpin executable?

I believe the old HyperSpin does not use that variable. And looks for HyperLaunch.exe in it's own directory.

Thanks,

Ron

The version I have is 1.3.2.0 is that the latest version? I tried renaming the old version of hyperlauncher and hyperspin gave me an error saying he could not find a launcher.

Thanks for helping

I was thinking that could be a problem but don't understand why it would be. I could change the folder name but I'm worried I'm gonna mess everything else up

Thank you

Reinstalled everything now hyperspin appears to be working correctly. I'm thinking it had something to do with the settings in the HLstart up script.. Haven't tried reinstalling that yet. I guess that will be my next hurdle so I can get my 360 controller to work.

Thanks for your help guys!
