Exit Controls

Hi all sorry for being a newb but I finally got my MAME cabinet together today and it looks sik so far (just need some decals) will post some pics soon. I have one probally simple question that I can't figure out. When I run a MAME game how do I create a shortcut to the controls to exit out of a MAME game and back into the main menu.

Currently I have to slide out the keyboard tray and press ESC on the keyboard but I figure there must be a way to map an exit key to the control panel , thanks for any advice in advance.

Hi rex I don't use xpadder as im running the X-Arcade stick which is not recognised in xpadder.

Do you really need xpadder on a Mame cab?

Just fire up Mame press tab to enter the menu, enter "Input General" and change the "Cancel UI" to something else other than escape.

Austin you da man thanks mate I watched your video then added a key stroke through Hyper HQ that corresponds to a keystroke on my X-Arcade stick exactly what I was looking for thanks so much
