Emulator for Translated Famicom Games?

Hi Guys,

 

I've tried nestopia and RetroArch, but neither are capable of playing the English Translated roms for Famicom and Famicom Disk System. 

 

What emulator is everyone using for these?

Thats weird. Do you get an error in the emulators. Sounds like bad patching.

I have Fceux and retroarch both setup and working with translation games no problem. im using Fceux atm. I take it you tried the latest versions available.

UPDATE: 

Most Nintendo Famicom games work, however, it looks like Konami games are the problem:

 

All the Konami games that I've tested using Nestopia give the following error:

 

Unsupported or Malformed Mapper

 

Could someone please test the following games and report back?

 

akumajou special - boku dracula-kun (japan) (translated en)

bio-miracle bokutte upa (japan) (translated en)

contra (japan) (translated en)

crisis force (japan) (translated en)

I tested each one of those games and they all loaded instantly no problem. for regular Nintendo I used Fceux because it loads and plays every rom except the Nintendo World Championship cart.

But which emulator did you use to test them? 

 

Fceux or Nestopia or RetroArch?

 

I can't tell if you used Fceux for Famicom or "regular Nintendo"

I tested with Fceux and retroarch for famicom. Both worked. If you need I can test nestopia for you later; would only take a second to setup. currently using Fceux as well for most systems it works with, but have retroarch setup too
