Taito Type X issues

I'm still having the same issues with crashing config files.  Kinda just gave up on configuring.  I'll have to get xpadder or something like that setup.

I'm having another issue though.  Austin posted his guide to BlazeBlu.  I never got it working completely before, so thought I could use his guide and the files.  No luck.

It will load, but once I get to the Character select and beyond, the screen gets jacked up.  I see no characters to select and then if I just push buttons and select whatever, then I get very few graphics on the following screens and the fight itself.  I end up with a tiny red character on the bottom, but that's about it.  Win 8.1, all DirectX and windows runtime, etc.  I don't get it.  Character select screen attached.

You'll get that blazblue prob if you aren't using a Nvidia card. No way around it.

AMD GPU? I'm sure you've told me before but...

You do need to use xpadder with most of these games as the config tool will just give you a joy axis or at least it does with Windows 7. Does it crash when it starts or when you press a button?

Maybe it's just XB_Config that does that as I have the 360 pad mapped fine with Pad_Config.

We did supply a TypeX Bindings.bin for people using a 360 pad, all you need do is drop that in the game folder, no need to start the config tool.

For those having issues with changing the typex bindings, if you use the config tool on a computer that doesn't have any game pads plugged in, it works.  I just made the one typex bindings on my main PC using the keyboard presses for my arcade controls then copied it over to each game directory.

There's always the pc version if you really wanna play. I was due for an upgrade so I got a titan. I always did like my Radeon HD though.

Must be nice to get a titan..lol.. yea but it just wouldn't b the same. kinda like bragging right to my buddy. When i do my hyperspin cabinet i will just get a nvidia card for the system. prolly a lower end card do u have a suggestion.. phenom x6 3.0 and i will prolly get 8gig of ddr2 ram. i already have the pc sitting in my floor collecting dust.

Calamity Trigger also came out for the PSP and PS3 and as Klizine said, also PC. Continuum Shift  came out on PC, you can find both on Steam and they probably look better.

I certainly do, we learnt a lot there which must have helped with other systems. It all seemed to happened in that time period. Yes, great times :)
