The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Gmmm this is strange.  Understandable, it is dif from how you guys did it, and it is also dif from how gig does it to Ron.  Seems we all have our ways :)

Understandable it may be not the official way.  But from what I can see that was all started from a work around when the new HS came out and things needed to be edited to botch them to work.

Now some of you like to keep some things sep.  Thats understandable, especially if you would like to use more than 1 frontend with HL or RL.

However by doing it the way I do it, I end up with everything in its correct place.  All front end art in the Media folder and the HLHQ files in its own folder.  Everything ends up where it should be and where all the programs expect it.

I have all emus up and running now with the latest build and I am yet to see any issues with it done this way.  Im allways happy to share comments though, gimmie a shout if you know of any issues.  Be more than happy to change if so :)

The only issue i can tell is that problem with those xml pointing to Drive C: like mentioned in my first post.

I wasnt able to change that only when i installed it in different folders, it worked for me.

Austin,

I understand what you are saying.  :D  But merging the HyperSpin and HyperLaunch folders is not what is intended by the software authors.  The media folders are designed to be seperate.  One set (the HyperSpin\Media) is for the front end, where the other (HyperLaunch\Media) is just for HyperLaunch.  Very confusing to have them both merged together.  It is especially confusing when you bring into account the Settings folder.  :S

I'm not saying "you can't do it your way".  :)  I just would not recommend it for the average user out there.  If needed, separation of HyperSpin and HyperLaunch would be almost impossible down the road, whereas if you kept them separate from the git go, it is simple.

Again, just my two cents.  ;)

Thanks,

Ron
