The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

How to Upgrade?

If u already have an Installation of HyperSpin how do you upgrade to HyperSpin 1.3.3.0?  without losing custom changes
to Artwork, database files and Media?

If you are currently running 1.3.2.0, you do not need to update.  The HyperSpin executable is the same, they just incorporated the older HyperLaunch v2 back into the install.

Thanks,

Ron

So why did they go back to an older hyper launch? Why won't the new rlaunch work? Or is it just a political breakup of some kind?

RocketLauncher supports various front ends, not just HyperSpin, hence the adoption of a new name and independent website.

The old HyperLaunch 2 is now included with HyperSpin to create a self contained package that works "straight out of the box" for beginners. More adventurous users can install RocketLauncher and take advantage of its advanced features.

I gotcha. I had a hard drive crash and had to start over and just installed the rocket launcher. It works just fine. Except for that little dude that pops up in the lower right hand corner. Is that the person that wrote the program?

So that git update thing where we all got RL, is that available to download anywhere?  Or if we have it, should we just hang onto it?  I've done so much work getting my hyperspin to work with HL, using HLHQ, I would be very wary of getting a new install that reverts to something older.
