whirlybird7 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I've seen a lot of people install a power button on their cabinets to boot up the PC when it's pressed. I know you hook that button up to the motherboard, but how would you do that? Is there a special wire I would need?

Only thing really necessary is to use a switch that is momentary/toggle. These are most arcade pushbuttons. Reason is that you don't want the computer to continuously get the signal to turn on when you are pressing the button. It would be like you are holding the power button down and would turn off again. You basically just plug your button into the same pins on the motherboard the power button on your PC case was plugged into. Then set the PC to power cycle off with a button press in the settings. That's it. I use a standard arcade button hidden on top of my cab.
