I have followed Simply austins guide

and have mame working great !!! :)

however im having issues with snes, nes and genesis

all my roms live on 1 drive and in different folders depending on the system  ie e:\roms\snes etc etc

all are setup in hyperlaunch to point to the right path and looking for the correct file extensions.

but when i do a database query of games available i get zero found.

I have the full set of snes and the full set of genesys too.

any help guys would be great.

You may have to rename your roms to match the official database. I recommend Don's Tools for this task.

Mame has a pretty standard naming convention, but most other systems don't have a single standard, they can be named Good Set, Tosec, or No Intro to name a few. For many many systems the official Hyperspin Database will use the No Intro Format. Most systems you can think of before you've been doing this for years and have been exposed to consoles you didn't even know existed, use No Intro.

re-iterating what previous guy said here.

HL will look for the games that it sees on its database. For example:

If hyperspin looks for "1945kiii" it will look in the xml for that title. If you have it named "1945K". Then to HS - it doesn't exist.

However now when I launch snes from hyperspin it goes to the game list but is blank and returns back to the emulation choice screen Any ideas.

I've tried restoring the xml file but still the same

Sounds like your xml might be malformed. Download the official one in the downloads section, and place it in

If the xml is OK, open Hyper HQ and remove  any check marks from the the wheel filters. They require paths to be set if you have Roms Only checked.
